Interred: Soheyla Rafieezadeh, Ed. D.

Soheyla Rafieezadeh (June 12, 1954 - November 26, 2002) was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tehran's Pars College. In 1978, amidst the 1978 blizzard, Ms. Rafieezadeh moved to the United States, where she completed her Doctorate in Education at Boston University in 1986. Her many travels included England, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, The British Virgin Islands, Haiti, and Kenya. She was an admirer of the late Iranian poet, Forugh Farrokhzad. A line from Farrokhzad's poem, "Let us Believe in the Beginning of The Cold Season"  is carved into Ms. Rafieezadeh’s headstone.
